Someone Else's Soul

Someone else's soul
Has taken my world
Now I live a dream
Too fleeting to be true
I'm left with the remnants of half forgotten things
How can one forget what not even he knows?

The stuff of dreams
Shakes my nights awake
Turns sheets against me
I shall die alone
Amidst a crowd
Of one thousand eyes
One thousand batting eyelids
I guess I can take it

Gaze away from what you see
And you'll find what you've lost
Names have been my crown
Of thorns and glass
Of horns and grass
Of scorns and class
Of porn and mass
I can take that
And keep my fridge full
Of refrigerated promises

On the brink of existence
There lies creational turbulence
Fasten your soul seat belts
Though no one is expected any time soon
Ring the door
There's no one home
No one to be afraid
No one to judge
Or to ask
Hi. How are you doing?
We can all slip away
Between the doors of chaos
And have it all forgotten
After breakfast and rhyme

Can someone give me Time?

"Can you give me Time?"
The man asks
"Sure. What time?"
The other man replies
"Mine. Yours. Everyone's. Everything's."
The man answers
"Sure.
Wrapped up to take?
Or are you going to eat it here?"

Existence

Man walks into a pub.
But the pub walks out.
First.

(who foot's the bill of existence?)

Songs Of Mirrors

Can you know the songs of mirrors
just because you don't hear them sing?
Can the prairie know no bounds
just because you see no limits?
Has anyone gone deeper than an empty word?
I change the seasons
To suit my bearings
I take the festivities
To wrong places and times
I forget flowers
But remember some colours
I drain the silt
At the bottom of the hourglass
That fills me
Upside down
There's no falling out of this town
Some rites of madness
Pour you down
Into someone else's soul
The deranged game of money and gold
A benchmark to your prayers
I can take down all the images
Of delusions and hate
But all that is left is still forfeit
The endless game of deceit
Can't blame you for trying
CAn't blame you for trying
It's the only game
And you're dying.
The only game
Worth dying
And more.
